While your pet is hospitalized with us:
You may call for a technician update between the hours of 10AM – 4PM or between the hours of 9PM - 11PM. As technicians may be attending to patients, a callback may be necessary. Our technicians will only be able to provide information about comfort checks - any medical updates will come directly from the doctor. An off-site technician may reach out to you with updates throughout the day regarding your pet or your bill. This technician works closely with the in-hospital staff and is able to give you up-to-date information regarding your pet while in hospital.
An attending doctor will call you at least once per day to update you with any pertinent updates and plans. The call may happen any time throughout the day depending on the patient caseload. For clear communication and decision-making, one primary owner contact must be selected for these discussions. Other family members may be on speakerphone or present for conversations if desired. Please have a list of questions you would like to review during your call with the doctor.
Visits can be coordinated daily at the discretion of the attending doctor. Visitation hours are between 11am-1pm, 4pm-6pm and again between 9p-10p. You must call ahead to schedule your visitation. If your pet is in critical condition, we are more flexible with visitations.
